Being an independent American filmmaker, he is popularly known as Cult filmmaker for making some of the wildest yet experimental short films. Some of his films and works are so appreciated that they have been regarded as collection of modern art in various museums. Many people from Hollywood and art industry consider him as a godfather of homoerotic cinema. Many people find his work crazy yet gorgeous but disturbing. Unlike other filmmaker, he does not use narrative based style for his art. Rather he explores the lyrical themes to showcase his piece of arts in form of small video clips and short films. In short, he loves to substitute dialogues with music in his films.
Apart from being a filmmaker he is also an actor and author. Surprisingly he was introduced to the world of art by his grandmother who used to take him to the art galleries and exhibitions when he was a child. Born in 1937, even today at the age of 93 his work in form of clips and stills is toured worldwide in form of art installations.
